There are various types of skin types such as oily skin, dry skin, and normal skin. we also find combinations in these types of skin. Each type of skin needs different care and a different skincare routine. For instance, oily skin needs an equal amount of moisturization along with keeping it dry, while on the other hand, dry skin needs more amount of moisturization as the skin is more absorbent.

Dry skin needs utmost care as too much dry skin leads to cracked heels, white patches, red skin, and many such issues. There are various products available in the market to heal dry skin but all of them might not be suitable for the skin due to the chemical ingredients added in them. Hence many people prefer using herbal and ayurvedic products to heal dry skin. Let us have a look at some of the natural and herbal remedies to keep dry skin moisturized and protected.

  1. Abhyanga

Abhyanga is the process of massaging the skin with oil. This process helps to keep dry skin nourished and moisturized. The procedure requires to massage the whole body with oil in the direction of the heart. One can simply prepare the oatmeal bath by crushing oatmeal in a food processer and mixing water in it to form a smooth paste. Apply this paste on the whole body and soak the body in this paste. Honey is one of the best ingredients to keep the inner and outer body healthy and supply. Honey is an antioxidant ingredient that keeps the skin smooth, soft, and moisturized. Honey is a great natural moisturizer and is one of the versatile ingredients for dry skin. one can simply prepare a body or a face mask with honey and apply it on the skin. after some time one can unleash the smooth, naturally glowing, and moisturized skin without the use of any harmful chemical products.

Aloe Vera is another ingredient in the queue of natural ingredients to heal dry skin. The anti-bacterial and anti-oxidant ingredient helps to keep the skin moisturized and supple. Simply applying aloe vera gel on dry hands and feet and covering them with socks and gloves can do wonders for the dry skin. Aloe vera is healthy for dry hair too.
