If the disorder leads to an extreme level then it may raise problems such as stroke, kidney problems, or even coronary artery disease.

Causes of Blocked Arteries

The reasons for blocked arteries vary on various parameters of an individual. Hence the reason may differ from person to person. Let us have a glance at some of the basic reasons for an artery getting blocked:

  1. Smoking

Among the worst ill habits to cause damage to our health is considered to be ‘smoking’. It not just affects a single part of our health but weakens our immune system altogether. Hence one should strictly avoid it to stay away from blockage of arteries.

  1. Obesity

Obesity is another reason that causes the accumulation of plaque in our arteries. Plague causes blockage flow of oxygen in our blood which leads to an enormous gateway to various health disorders. 1. High blood pressure

blood pressure in itself is a major health disorder that can lead to various health obstructions. One among them is the blockage of arteries as well. High blood pressure can cause hardening and thickening of the inner walls of the arteries hence creating an obstruction inflow of blood. Therefore it is also advised to maintain health pressure.

  1. Unhealthy Diet

Consumption of unhealthy food items like junk food, food items with high sugar or trans fats lead to obesity which in turn leads to obstruction of arteries. Hence one should also be careful about their diet and the components of the food consumed.

  1. Difficulty in Breathing

Another noticeable health obstruction is difficulty in breathing. It also happens because of improper circulation of oxygenated blood in the body. The narrowing of the inner walls of arteries leads to the low flow of blood which in turn leads to difficulty in breathing.
