Daily Ayurvedic Hair Care Routine

Hair is one of the most valuable assets for any individual. It is one of the major portions of our definition of beauty. Therefore people are always conscious about their hair and take the utmost care of it as well. There are numerous hair and skin care products available in the market today ranging from the cheapest to the lavish ones depending upon the brand. But many people believe in Ayurvedic products and practices still today. So let us have a look at some of the easy homemade hair care products that help to strengthen and beautify our hair naturally without the involvement of any harsh or harmful chemicals:


  1. Aloe Vera Oil

This oil is helpful to strengthen our hair and also helps in faster and thicker hair growth. Aloe vera is also a useful and natural component to keep our hair shiny and bouncy. The smoothness of aloe vera also helps one to keep the hair tangle-free too. This oil is also useful to prevent hair fall. One can apply this hair oil an hour before having a bath or for much better results one can apply this oil and leave it overnight and wash off the hair the next morning.



To prepare this natural homemade aloe vera hair oil one need to scoop out the gel from one aloe vera leaf. Then mix this fresh scrapped out gel with an equal amount of coconut oil. Boil this thick mixture for about 5 to 7 minutes. Then add any essential oil of your choice to the mixture and store the oil in a cool place for about 10 to 14 days and then one can use it.


  1. Yoghurt and Honey Shampoo

Shampoos are used to clean our scalp and hair. They help to remove the dirt stuck in hair present in the environment we are in. But the chemicals used in the preparation of shampoos these days damage our hair and break them roughly. Hence a natural shampoo is the need of the hour these days. Yoghurt is considered to be one of the best natural hair conditioners and honey an anti-bacterial component. Hence a mixture of both these ingredients helps to clean our hair naturally without any side-effects. Let us have a look at the method of this natural homemade shampoo:



In a bowl add one spoon full of yoghurt and honey accordingly. Mix these ingredients to form a smooth paste. Apply this paste for about 10 to 12 minutes so that they can penetrate deeper into the roots of the hair to clean them. Later wash the hair with cool water.


  1. Apple Cider Vinegar Conditioner

Apple cider vinegar is not just beneficial for our health but it has health benefits too. It helps one to give that natural shine to the hair and detangle our hair without any hair breakage. It is one of the best natural conditioners for our hair and can be easily prepared at home. Let us dig into its easy recipe:



In a bowl add one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and add water accordingly to dilute it. Dampen the hair and pour the vinegar mixture on hair to condition it naturally. Wash off the hair with cool water after 10 to 15 minutes.


  1. Banana Hair Pack

Though hair pack may sound a bit lengthy and a hassle creating procedure, but one should do apply a hair mask at least once a month. It helps one to reduce the hair fall and helps to strengthen the hair from roots to till the tip. Bananas just like are nutritious for our health they are nutrition-packed for our hair too. Let us have a look at an easy homemade banana hair pack to strengthen and nourish our hair:



In a bowl add bananas and mash them to make a lump-free paste. To this banana, paste adds one tablespoon of olive oil and honey. Mix all the ingredients well and make a smooth and shiny paste. Apply this pack on hair and cover the hair for about 20 to 30 minutes. Later wash off the hair with a natural and healthy shampoo and conditioner.
