Nourishing Homemade Hair Masks

A proper hair care routine is as essential as a skincare routine. Our hair is one of the most valuable assets for us as it is one of the vital factors to define our beauty and personality. People think that applying shampoo, conditioner, and serum is enough to keep the hair clean and healthy, but that's not the truth!! A proper hair care routine is completed with a hair mask. Hair masks are of various brands are available in the market.

Not all of them might be suitable for our hair due to the ingredients involved in its manufacturing. It might result in higher hair breakage. Natural and organic hair masks are safe and healthy for our hair as they help to nourish them. Let us have a look at a few of the healthy hair masks that can help to nourish hair and improve their quality as well.

  1. Sugar and Coconut Oil Hair Mask

Sugar is one of the best natural exfoliators for our hair as well as for the skin. This healthy hair pack helps to deal with a flaky scalp observed due to unconditioned and dried our scalp. Sugar helps to exfoliate the dry skin on the scalp and get rid of the flakes observed, while on the other hand coconut oil ensures that the scalp and hair do not lose the nourishment and are not deprived of the required amount of oil.

Directions:

Mix sugar and coconut oil in a bowl to get a paste consistency. Mix any essential oil into the mixture of your choice. Apply this mask on your scalp and overall the hair and gently massage it for about 2 minutes. After five minutes wash the hair with water just as one does normally in the shower.

  1. Honey and ACV Hair Mask

Dust, dirt, and pollution leads to hair fall and also make our hair lose its natural shine. Hence soon it becomes dry and dull. Apple Cider Vinegar is one of the best natural ingredients to bring back that shine and luster to our dull hair. Honey not just helps to soften the skin but is also healthy for our dull and dry hair.

Directions:

Damp the hair with water. Mix ACV, honey, and coconut oil in a bowl. Apply this mixture on the scalp and overall hair length. After 20 minutes wash the hair with a natural shampoo to experience shiny and soft hair.

  1. Cinnamon and Coconut Oil Hair Mask

Many people suffer from ceased hair growth. After certain hair growth limits, their hair tends to stop at that length and does not grow further. Cinnamon helps to improve the blood circulation in our body which is necessary for healthy hair growth. Hence a mask made from it can help to naturally improve hair growth and its quality.

Directions:

Mix cinnamon powder and coconut oil in a bowl. Apply the mixture on the scalp and whole hair length. Let it sit for about half an hour. Later wash the hair with an organic and natural shampoo. 

  1. Green tea and ACV Hair Rinse

Green tea is well-known for its plethora of benefits. Along with being healthy for our body, it is also fulfilled with beneficial properties for our hair. The anti-bacterial property of green tea helps to heal an irritated scalp. It also helps to get rid of dandruff and visible flakes naturally.

Directions:

Mix 1 cup of green tea along with a teaspoon of ACV and few drops of peppermint essential oil. Rinse the hair with this mixture. After 5 minutes wash hair with an herbal shampoo.

  1. Honey and Yoghurt Hair Mask

Honey and yogurt are some of the ingredients that can be easily found in our kitchens. These two ingredients can be simply blended into a hair mask that proves to be healthy and nourishing for our hair as well. Yogurt helps to clean our hair and honey helps to reduce the hair breakage and prevent split ends.

Directions:

Mix honey and yogurt in a bowl according to the length of your hair. Apply this mixture on your hair and let it sit for about 30 to 45 minutes. Later wash the hair to experience soft, smooth, and lustrous hair. Try to apply this natural mask at least once a week for better results.
