Uses of Bhang as per Ayurveda

Bhang or Cannabis though might be illegal to use in any form in some countries but is a nutritious plant if used correctly. The government has allowed the use of bhang in a restricted quantity in some countries. Bhang is a mixture of leaves and flowers of the female Cannabis plant. Its use is restricted in many countries because its consumption might make one feel dizzy and a bit out of senses. But as it is said there is also the other side of the coin. The same way there are also helpful uses of bhang let us have a look at a few of them.

 1. Cures Nausea and Vomiting

Nausea is a health condition when the individual feels emotionally low, stomach ache, headache, or other forms of illness. Vomiting can be stated as a part of nausea. Ayurveda states that bhang can help one to get rid of these sensations and cure them naturally. The nutritional and helpful factor of bhang can help one to cure the symptom and ceases the requirement of popping a pill. Though it might sound ironic to many people bhang is also a natural remedy to cure vomiting. Helpful and the right quantity of bhang can cure the ailment and it is advised to take the right quantity of it. 

  1. Lowers Pain

Pain is that one sensation that every living being wishes to stay at a bay from. Pain can arise in our body in any part and due to various reasons. We might experience pain in various parts of our body like joints, hands, legs, or back. We might also experience pain internally.  Under such conditions, people immediately think to pop a pain killer tablet. Though painkillers might ease the pain for a temporary period but doesn't cure it of the root. It is said that consuming bhang in an appropriate and the right quantity can help one to get rid of any form of pain. Therefore it is a natural alternative of painkiller. Hence one can try bhang to lower a chronic pain but under the correct supervision. 

  1. Improves Sleeping Disorder

Just as our body needs proper nutrition in the form of food to keep itself strong and healthy the same way our body needs a proper amount of sleep too. Sleep is an integral part of our routine which should be followed religiously too. It helps one to stay in complete senses and also gives that much-required break to our body. Some people suffer from insomnia or other sleeping disorders. Bhang can help one to get rid of such issues naturally. In some chronic or serious cases, doctors advise tranquillizer but those can harm the individual if not given correctly. Hence one can give a shot to bhang to have a sound and healthy sleep. Studies have found that intake of bhang properly and accurately can help to get a deep sleep.

  1. Reduces Inflammation

Bhang can also be termed an inflammatory ingredient. It is helpful for the people who suffer from ailments like muscle spasm, joint pain, difficulty in bending down, or an experience of pain in the back and lower back. It helps to lower the friction between the joints lowering the pain. Hence it is helpful for arthritic patients and people suffering from osteoporosis as well. Therefore with the help of suggestions from an Ayurvedic practitioner, one can have bhang to lower chronic joint pain.

  1. Increases Appetite

Weight gain is not only a common problem among the rabble of people but being underweight is also a health issue. Some people are too skinny or thin and are not able to gain weight easily. Just stuffing food is not the key to increase weight neither medications can help one to gain weight healthily and naturally. Bhang helps one to increase appetite and may assist to increase weight. Hence one can try having bhang to add on some kilos but in the prescribed quantity of an Ayurvedic practitioner.
